Today we kicked off our 5-day March from the Bay Area to Sacramento for Civil Rights. We arrived this evening in Walnut Creek, where our friends at Mt. Diablo Unitarian Universalist Church provided us food and a place to sleep. After dinner, we took some time to share our stories with each other. Then I caught up with Petrice and Nancy of the Church's Social Action Committee and Marriage Equality Task Force. They told me more about the work in their community to build a movement for social and economic justice.
